Prof. DESOBGO ZANGUE Steve Carly, Ph.D., is a Professor of Process Engineering, Food Technology, and Biotechnology at the University Institute of Technology, University of Ngaoundere, Cameroon. With more than two decades of academic, research, and industrial experience, he specializes in brewing science, food process engineering, biotechnology, enzymology, process optimization, mathematical modeling, experimental design, and sustainable valorization of agricultural resources. His research also focuses on environmental biotechnology, functional foods and beverages, biofuels, artificial intelligence applications in food engineering, and agro-industrial innovation. He completed postdoctoral research in Brewing Science and Food Biotechnology at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and has held numerous academic, research, and consultancy positions. He currently serves as Standardization and Certification Manager at the Pan-African Agency for the Promotion of Products Made in Africa (APPPMA) and actively collaborates with universities, research institutions, and agro-industrial organizations across Africa. Prof. Desobgo has authored or co-authored 47 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 1 scientific book, 15 book chapters, and 14 international conference papers. He is editor of the Elsevier volume Brewing with Sorghum: A Comprehensive Guide to Sorghum Beer. He has supervised 5 completed Ph.D. candidates, 14 Master's students, and numerous engineering students. He serves as reviewer, editorial board member, or associate editor for several internationally recognized journals, including the Journal of the American Society of Brewing Chemists, Heliyon, Journal of Food Processing and Preservation, and the Journal of Food Science and Technology. His multidisciplinary research has significantly advanced brewing science, food processing, sustainable technologies, and the valorization of African agricultural resources, fostering innovation, technology transfer, and capacity building throughout the continent.

Le Professeur DESOBGO ZANGUE Steve Carly, Ph.D., est Professeur de Génie des Procédés, de Technologie Alimentaire et de Biotechnologie à l'Institut Universitaire de Technologie de l'Université de Ngaoundéré, au Cameroun. Fort de plus de deux décennies d'expérience dans les domaines de l'enseignement supérieur, de la recherche et de l'industrie, il est spécialisé en sciences brassicoles, en génie des procédés alimentaires, en biotechnologie, en enzymologie, en optimisation des procédés, en modélisation mathématique, en plans d'expériences et en valorisation durable des ressources agricoles. Ses travaux de recherche portent également sur la biotechnologie environnementale, les aliments et boissons fonctionnels, les biocarburants, les applications de l'intelligence artificielle au génie alimentaire ainsi que sur l'innovation agro-industrielle.
Il a effectué un stage postdoctoral en Sciences Brassicoles et Biotechnologie Alimentaire à l'Université de Johannesburg, en Afrique du Sud, et a occupé de nombreuses fonctions académiques, scientifiques et de conseil. Il exerce actuellement les fonctions de Responsable de la Normalisation et de la Certification à l'Agence Panafricaine pour la Promotion des Produits Made in Africa (APPPMA) et collabore activement avec des universités, des instituts de recherche et des organisations agro-industrielles à travers le continent africain.
Le Professeur Desobgo est auteur ou co-auteur de 47 articles scientifiques publiés dans des revues internationales à comité de lecture, de 1 ouvrage scientifique, de 15 chapitres d'ouvrages et de 14 communications présentées lors de conférences internationales. Il est également éditeur scientifique de l'ouvrage publié chez Elsevier intitulé Brewing with Sorghum: A Comprehensive Guide to Sorghum Beer.
Il a encadré avec succès 5 doctorants (Ph.D.), 14 étudiants de Master ainsi que de nombreux élèves ingénieurs. Il intervient également comme évaluateur scientifique (reviewer), membre de comités éditoriaux ou rédacteur associé pour plusieurs revues scientifiques internationales de renom, notamment le Journal of the American Society of Brewing Chemists, Heliyon, le Journal of Food Processing and Preservation et le Journal of Food Science and Technology.
Grâce à son approche multidisciplinaire, ses recherches ont contribué de manière significative aux avancées des sciences brassicoles, de la transformation alimentaire, des technologies durables et de la valorisation des ressources agricoles africaines, tout en favorisant l'innovation, le transfert de technologies et le renforcement des capacités scientifiques et techniques sur l'ensemble du continent africain.
